Death by Coffee by Alex Erickson

3.0

2.5 stars - I rounded up because I might read the next one in the series in hopes that it gets better because there are 8 others in the series thus far. I had a hard time connecting and liking the main character. I was actually pretty surprised that she wasn't killed herself because of the way she bluntly asked questions of "suspects". She came across as wishy-washy and/or juvenile (Does he like me? I send a Facebook friend request two seconds ago and he hasn't responded so he must be mad at me.) I don't know if this is because the author is a man and writing how he thinks a woman would act. She just didn't come across as believable. And what is with the cookie in coffee? A soggy cookie doesn't sound appetizing or drinkable.
