This is the first time I've read any of Jane Harvey-Berrick's work and I have to say, she has a new fan! I had no idea what I was getting myself into, and was a little skeptical when I read the blurb - I've never read a love triangle quite so complex before. Two men and one woman.
Having never read any MM before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to say, I really enjoyed this book.
I love the character, Luka. He is a brilliant dancer in the hit theatre show, Slave. When the tour takes a break and the cast all go their separate ways, things get interesting.
I really can't go into too much detail, without giving away the story! What I will say, is that you end up on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. The heartbreak Luka endures over these two people, who say they love him, is just about unbearable. I felt such anger towards these characters. One more so than the other.
One of them was so unbelievably selfish. The other, thought they were trying to do the right thing, still caused a world of pain.
Watching Luka grow as he strived to be the best he could be, was one of the highlights of the book. That, and his relationship with his dance family. When Luka felt that all was lost, they picked up the pieces and helped him to see his way through.
I really enjoyed this book, and think I might just have to grab the first book in the series to discover more about these characters.
