I've listened to several Star Wars books now, and all of them have been stellar productions. The voice acting and music is always great.
The story was an interesting exploration of morality. I didn't know much about Thrawn before listening to this (I've watched Rebels, but that's it), so I went in with no expectations. He's a compelling character though, with a unique motivation and perspective. I liked watching him deal with with political issues and the xenophobia/racism that's rampant in the imperial military. I loved the Holmes/Watson dynamic that he has with Vanto (it's a classic character archetype for a reason).
I hated that it ended on a damn cliffhanger though! Luckily, the sequel is already out and my library carries it. But still...cliffhangers are just the worst.
