I am extremely confused about this book. It was very disturbing with those animal torture memory and flesh horror nightmares, rape and horrific sexual fantasies. There were few very beautiful quotes but overall the book was really confusing and messy. I don’t think i understood the idea of this book. The book was also confusing because of the characters mental illnesses. There was almost no line between reality and dream. Those who get triggered by psych wards and stuff like that… i don’t recommend reading this book. There’s a lot of messed up characters and emotional abuse. 

But for deeper reflective thoughts about this book: 
-it talks a lot about mens power over women and the way the men (fathers, husbands etc) almost own the women and control them without any questioning
-the mindset of seeing women as something to fulfill your sexual needs and as an object. Men justify raping their wives by saying that they have accepted the marriage contract so they ”have to” fulfill their husbands needs.
-tells a story and experience through
