This book kind of felt like watching a bad reality TV show, where you see where everything goes wrong and yet are too invested to turn it off.
The book starts with a very heavy tone; dealing with Jessica running away from her abusive boyfriend who practically tried to end her. She turns to her brother's two friends on the account of her brother being unreachable. The book deals a lot with Jessica trying to work through her trauma and get back to who she used to be, adding in a polygamous relationship with her saviors.
Considering how dark the beginning was, the majority of book highlighted such a bubblegum perfect relationship, making it feel disconnected in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, I thought their love was cute and the guys doing everything in their power to make sure she's taken care of was great, but it just felt lacking in depth for me and it almost felt rushed. I will say that all of the spicy scenes were great, though I do wish they went into more detail of their power dynamics before and then with Jessica.
The ending was disappointing; it felt almost glossed over and was done and solved within what felt like 10 pages, and they moved on way too fast.
Was it my favorite book? No. But did I hate it? Also no. I'd recommend this book to people looking for a spicy book featuring a throuple, with heavy themes.
