2.5 stars ⭐️ which is kinda crazy bc i really did love legendborn so bloodmarked really fell short for me unfortunately. Also ngl this book is so heavy with king arthur and all the terms, i feel like (all fantasy series too) should have a mini recap or like a glossary or something in the beginning?? Like??? I watched a recap video of legendborn before reading this and i was still kind of lost. The world building is great but also it gets confusing again with all the diff terms also this could be just me but i wish they were consistent on last names and first names like pls stop switching it around i can barely remember who the important characters r as it is. Nick who was the main love interest in legendborn is BAREEEly in this and when he is it’s not even fr also him leaving just also didnt make sense and he never went into it. As much as i am an enemies to lovers girl, like HEAVY, i hate when it doesnt make sense or the person did too much like yea selwyn can sweetalk and whatever but mf said multiple times he tried to unalive her like girl pls, that would be enuff for me. And when he was gettin a lil feisty??? Ok relax lil demon??????? Also im just not a love triangle person so that lil smooch they had was ick bc im like gorl u over here kissin nick in ur lil memory blood walks and u here irl smoochin his kingsmage aka bonded guard like pls. Also i feel like in legendborn bree was super independent and strong and not as impulsive and irrational but in this one like every single time they specify NOT to do something bc it’ll lead to something bad, they end up doing it??? At times she just seemed very annoying w her decisions which every single one ultimately ended up on her and no one really let her know that she was fuckin shit up badly for them besides alice. Also there was so much going on sometimes like they really cant have a second to breathe and it just is too much at once bc it felt like so many plot lines didnt wrap up well either but yeah anyways this is probably the longest review i have typed here but those were my thoughts
