The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, Is the Key to High Performance and Personal Renewal by Tony Schwartz, Jim Loehr

4.0

A lot of this book felt familiar to me having read heavily about self-improvement, fitness, habits, and willpower. However, this book has its own unique twists, and has been around since the early 2000s. It actually pre-dates and cross-sections many of the "familiar" books it reminded me of. I ended up appreciating the equal emphasis on mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional components of engagement, despite at first expecting to gloss over a couple of them. I loved the client vignettes used throughout the book, and the very actionable system they propose for improving your own full engagement (in life or work). They provide a well-laid out sample & an empty template for applying their methods to your own life at the end of the book. I'm going through it right now, and it feels very intuitive.
