This is only the second Backman book I've read but I wholeheartedly believe he is one of the greatest authors currently writing. The message of his books, that people are fundamentally good and are really just trying their best, is so refreshing and hopeful to see when so many books tend to focus on more negative themes. This books made me laugh and cry and I fell in love with every single character.   (Don't make the mistake of reading this book in public like I did, was holding back tears.)
