Meeting Trouble
by Emme Rollins
I enjoyed this read, and I think Emme Rollins is a fair writer, but I guess I didn't really care that much about either of the characters. I think I prefer the sort of "slow burn" of a developing relationship to what this book showed - a "love/lust at first sight" whirlwind weekend romance that basically wound up with the characters being totally besotted and almost ready to drop everything in both their respective lives to be together. Of course it was realistic because they DIDN'T do that, so I give the story points for that. But still, I think what stopped me from being really engrossed was that you didn't really get to know the characters all that well before they were getting it on all over the place and instantly falling for each other.
Anyway, if you want to read something steamy and fun that doesn't do much to your emotions (i.e. you don't feel like you've been through the wringer after reading it, and you don't get that giddy "OMG they finally got together!" feeling because they're together from almost the get go), I'd recommend this one. :)
All that said, I do think Emme Rollins can write, in the "suitable grasp of the English language" sort of way. :)
