Misfit by Kelley Skovron
5.0
Jael has always been different. She was constantly moving so she was always the new girl. Her mom died when she was only three months old. Jael knows very little about her, only what her father has told her. Basically; she knows her mother was a demon named Astarte that fell in love with a mortal named Paul.
Belial is an extremely hated, particularly evil demon. And he hates that Jael is a half-breed, with her demon mother and mortal father. He has sought out to destroy her and will do anything to do just that, including influencing her best friend.
I love Jael’s character in Misfit. She is a little awkward and finds it difficult to fit in with the world around her. I came across this book while scanning a teacher’s personal library. After reading the first chapter, I knew Misfit would be a book I would love. This was the first book I have read by [Kelley] Skovron, but it will definitely not be the last.
