I actually liked this book more than the first. I don’t know if it was due to the fact that her love interest was not there for the majority of it or if it was due to the Paladin plot line (which is frankly the only engaging plot-line in the story).
However, this does not deter from the fact that 90% of this series is Demi getting kidnapped by every paranormal group in existence and having Sawyer lose his shit. It gets really boring after the 3rd time.
One good thing about this book was the side characters. A couple new people were introduced that I actually liked reading about.
