Katie by Michael McDowell
4.0
I read this in 3 days and couldn't stop. I love how Michael Mcdowell writes : its straight to the point, effective and gives you exactly what you want.
Katie reminded me a lot of Cathy from East of Eden by being so inherently evil. I missed having villains that are just evil because that's who they are. Not because they need to get revenge on life because of a past trauma, but because they have no empathy and never had.
They are just evil and that is so much more terrifying because there is no bargaining with evil.
