...why do people, woman especially, love books involving abuse?
This book is littered with emotional and sexual abuse. There is no part of this story where Hardin even makes sense. Sure you can have an asshole for a main character...but you have to give them redeeming qualities too AND you have to grow and change them into a likable person.
In my mind this could have been something. Cut the book in half, solves the problem, and grow the characters. BOTH OF THEM!
