First things first-I really really enjoyed Lady Midnight- Its amazing that I can literally read a bazillion books, but the ones that sink into my bones- I absolutely never forget. I was a total fangirl of TMI and TID -I waited forever for some reason to read Lady Midnight, I guess maybe I wasn't ready to let go of all my ships and dreams of the previous series. BUT- Everything from this world just came rushing back and I felt like belting out some Celine Dion (its all coming back to me nowwwww)!!!

Im going to go ahead and be upfront and say- Even though I enjoyed Lady Midnight, It didn't clinch my heartstrings as much as TMI and TID.

Things I loved: Julian- DUH :P I absolutely adored his character and wanted someone to swoop in and help him with the heavy load he has been carrying. I could relate to him in so many ways. He deserves a freaking Gold Star for his ability to hold things together.

Secondly-Clare totally deserves props for giving her characters depth and voices to those who wouldn't normally have a voice. I am absolutely in Awe at her ability to cause me to be drawn to her different and imperfect characters. I love that she gave a voice to the Autistic Community and she makes every character complex and distinct. It seems that every character in Lady Midnight was fighting their own demons and figuring out how to overcome them. Her plots and twists are still infamous and she can still weave a freshness to this Magical World. Let me not forget the heartbreaking moments

and THE ANGST- Good lord Woman- Somethings never change :P

Things I didn't like: The beginning of Lady Midnight was kind of slow going and bogged down with a TON of info dumping- And I can totally get that with it being the start of a new Series. I just wasn't expecting it to take up what seemed like literally half of the book. I also felt like some of the revelations were a little bit rushed and not fully explained - like Christina for instance. Hopefully more explanations will be dealt with in the following books. Last but not least, I seriously love Cassandra Clare and I love a good Romance-but I would love to read a fantasy story from her that eventually isn't sustained by the romance to build the conflict in her story.

Overall- Like I said I really adored this one y'all- It just had a lot to live up to in my personal opinion. The ending was SOOOO in Cassandra Clare fashion - it got me all up in my feelings and I wanted to throw something and scream :) Which is how everyone wants to feel after reading right?? Looking forward to the next one for SURE!
