Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman

4/5 stars.

This story was so much more than I expected. The love between Daniel and Gretchen is so pure. It was probably my favorite part of the story. Not only does this story address political tension and murder, but it is also a story of self-discovery, friendship, sacrifice, bravery and love. As a psychology minor, I loved the aspect of psychopathy in this story. This was gripping, haunting, angering, and wholesome all at once. I absolutely love Gretchen and Daniel, and I can’t wait to read the sequel once I find the time to do so.
