I had to take some time away from this book before I could write my review. I didn’t do a tandem read. Didn’t know that was an option. It took me longer to read than normal because I was just so sad that Adena was dead. THEN when it looked like she and Mak were starting to have feelings for each other, it made it even worse.
Lauren really out did herself with this one. Adena and Mak’s story is so precious. Adena is SO sweet. Mak is so tough from life. The way she slowly chips away at his exterior is just incredible. They’re so tender with each other.
When Adena dies, and Mak screams, my heart broke. I was SOBBING!! I can’t wait to read Reckless.
