Having never read a feminist book before, it was interesting to see these thoughts written down on paper in this way.
Some very interesting ideas in this book that I’d never considered before. Additionally there were a lot of things that I have considered in the past, and it is great to read them written down in a way that makes a lot of sense.
The book itself is well written for the most part, but is a bit repetitive at times. Some analogies fall flat in my eyes, but most of them make a lot of sense. bell hooks’ reference to her own experiences and family are probably the most convincing references in the book.
I’ll definitely be reading some of her other works in the future.
