Definitely an enjoyable read for anyone who is into non-linear multi-generational family sagas. There are points at which I felt the  author was a bit heavy handed with the moral/point  beaten over my head, but she was juggling so many different themes/patterns that I see why she perhaps leaned into explicit messaging. The prose was nice and fluid but not particularly striking. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys reading about Iranian American stories!
