Marrow
by Trisha Wolfe, Brynne Weaver
An enjoyable read, similar to Weaver’s Butcher & Blackbird
Like B&B, I just felt like there was something missing
Other than the actual killing, the serial killers never feel like ruthless killers, they’re too likable. Even Jack who is supposed to be a psychopath. Yet, in Black Sheep, another one of Weaver’s books, I think the MF is likable but still comes across as the killer she is
Another thing is the pacing. This book started off way too quickly! I would have liked to have a chance to understand Kyrie & Jack’s working relationship a little first. His feelings/obsession toward Kyrie, or well her eye colour, also felt out of place
I think it just needed more build-up & tension for me
Still love a good serial killer romance though
