Overall, the book was ok. It had the potential to be fantastic based on the plot line but some scenes were cut too short and the small time jumps (days or hours) made it too choppy; pieces of the story were missing. Eden’s character also read as very immature which threw me off since she went through some very tough situations that usually age someone pretty fast. Love me some, Father Roman Briar though.

Pros:
  • Roman using the pet name “Angel” & his filthy mouth
  • Their possessives over each other.
  • They both get to heal and grow together in their own way and their faith is restored.

Cons:
  • How is he blatantly invading her space in public (coffee shop and fair) and no one notices or catches on based on their demeanor. It’s like they’re living in an invisible bubble.
  • Insta-lust - it was out of place

It’s still better than Priest so it gives me hope for the books with a priest MMC. I will definitely read another book by this author - I have my eye on Teacher’s Pet.
