Nine Princes in Amber
by Roger Zelazny
This was a re-read for me but it had been long enough that the book needed a fresh look. I'm glad I did. The story is from the point of view of Corwin who has lost his memory and is on a journey to recover it. In the process we find that Corwin is much more than he knows or seems. Zelazny did an outstanding job of keeping the reader from learning the story before Corwin rediscovers it. The first book in the series, it will keep you looking forward to the next installment.
