This has been number one on my to-read shelf for so long, I can't believe I finally finished it. It's a great book, maybe not a "Book Thief," but pretty darn near perfect. There are a lot of boys in this book, but at the center of the story is Penny Dunbar (the mistake maker, the broken-nosed bride, etc.). Can definitely tell that the author loves every single one of these characters and put a lot of time and effort into bringing them to life for his reader.

The book has been ten years in the making...can't wait to see what comes next for Zusak!
