The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

1.0

this book disappointed me slightly. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it was not the usual type of romance novel I am a fan of. It follows Josh and Lucy, two work rivals battling it out for a promotion. As the two fight, Lucy begins to notice that maybe there is more love than hate between the two.

This felt like a “mom romance book”, like the tiny romance novels you pick up in the airport. It was fun and scandalous, but it did not have my heart clenching or make me smile stupidly again my book. Maybe it’s because I just read Normal People by Sally Rooney and nothing can compare. It was still a good book, just not my favorite romance ever.
