I'll be honest I didn't think I'd like this.
I mean I like Clamp and most of this stuff. But the anime of Cardcaptor Sakura was pushed heavily when I was a kid for girls, verses something like Digimon around the same time. However I figured I'd give it a go since got the first hardcover edition for 10 bucks.
This was cute, funny, and the art was beautiful. Basically have our main character Sakura and her partner, a yellow looking stuffed animal, help her capture cards that become alive. Usually elemental based, so like a water goddess, wind, ect. The fights are fun enough but the highlight of this series is Sakura and her cast. From her meanie brother, to the big crush she has on her brother's friend, to her best friend being adorable dress maker, it's all fun. I think I liked this way more than I expect, but most who want a laid back fun magical series, I think this is one of the best I've read.
