An extremely fun, sassy, funny, sexy read. Nikki has pretty much everything going against her. She's broke, her ex may want her back but for now he's left her with the dinner bill and when she find him again he's dead and stuffed in the trunk of her car. When she becomes suspect #1, her life couldn't get any funnier. In comes Dallas, PI extraordinaire, hoping to help prove she is innocent. Their connection is instant and even though she's now the suspect in a murder, Dallas can't help but be drawn in.
I picked this book up because of the controversy with the TXDoT and wanted to help support an author but I fell in love of Christie Craig's style of writing. She's humorous and has created a great start to a new series. The secondary characters were also very well written and I'm excited for when their stories are released.
