I swear Britt just makes me want to throw my kindle against the wall! Every single cliffhanger in this series has basically had me crying! When will the guys catch a break?
**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**
Firstly, the character development with literally every character was brilliant! The growth they’ve all done, especially Sloane and Fischer is perfect. Those last few chapters really got me, and I’m glad Brett got what he deserves.
I knew Laurie was a douche to the highest degree but seeing Gran Bette’s heart shatter made me weepy. I hope everyone who is hating on Khol from the last book really saw a difference in him in this book. I’m also loving the mini side story we have with Miranda and Annie too.
I saw 99% of the twists that were coming, the only one I didn’t see was the demon at the cliff although I have theories I won’t share until I read the next book.
I am so happy to see Faris get his own storyline and we see him. It’s like watching bambi learning to walk but with added blood lust.
I feel like much more cannot happen but there are 2 more books so I wonder if this next huge dramatic turn will be split between them or if something else will come up. Then again there are still a lot of things unsolved; Laurie, Demon King, Az & his corporation, Sloane & Fischers relationship, Annie etc etc there is still a lot of unpack but I am worried if it still needs 2 books.
This one had far more angst, drama, sass and smut and I am here for it. The best book of the series so far I hope they keep getting better as they go on!
