The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu

4.0

Wow, oh wow, did I love this book. It had some awkward pacing and a few plot hiccups, but I still got lost in the magic. I loved the flawed, fleshed out characters and the magical world they painted around them. I think historical fantasy is becoming one of my new favorite genres. Also, there were two pockmarked characters in the book. And neither of them was a villain. That's huge.
