The second in the Horus Heresy series and a great followup to Horus Rising. False Gods doesn't have as much action, but when the Heresy takes root it becomes so tense that the pages turn as fast as if you are reading the most exciting battle scenes. On the whole I dont think it is as good as the first novel, but the last 80 pages or so are fantastic. Not so much a cliffhanger ending, but one that leaves you hungry for more. I might just make Galaxy In Flames my next read.
