Growing Up Amish: A Memoir
by Ira Wagler
Having grown up with some interaction with Amish, this explained some of my questions. When I was a younger child my family was allowed to attend their church once and some of the parts of "church" I now have a better understanding of.
This book was about Ira's struggle to break from the Amish traditions and at some points I found myself frustrated with the book thinking it was a bit repetitious, but it was his personal experience and there was some repetition there, I still felt as if he could have skipped a few chapters and just let the reader know what ended up happening.
