Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

I'm glad I picked this up, because it's one of the funniest, nicest fairy tales I've ever read.
In the beginning, it seemed like this book hasn't completely won me over. It has cliché bits, and it's a bit fanfiction-y, but turns out there's a lot more to it.
The cute, funny moments outshine the occasional unrealistic, over the top bits for me, and the relationship of the main characters is genuinely entertaining, and oh so sweet.
However, in the last third of the book I absolutely fell in love with it. I couldn't stop reading it, I wasn't able to put it down.
To conclude, I love how this book has so much representation, but in a casual, ordinary way. It really sparks your interest, makes you want to know more.
PS. I just have to mention how bubbly it made me feel when Liszt was mentioned along with other great composers. Never before had I read a book of this genre which mentioned any sort of cultural figure from a country as little known as my own.
