HIGHLY recommend

I LOVED and ADORED this lovely book! Even though I am trying not to read more WWII books - the topic and author won out.

The basic story is about two estranged sisters who inherit their mother's dress store equally after her passing. Then the younger sister is conscripted into the WAAF leaving the older sister to run the dress store without designing or dress-making skills.

The writing, character development, and storyline were excellent as always with Julia's books. But the bonus of a dress shop that makes clothes from scratch was something to daydream about for weeks!!
