The Summer of Ellen by Agnete Friis

Did not finish book.

I want to thank Edelweiss + and Soho Crime for providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review

I'm really sorry, I don't tend to do this and less when it's an ARC, but it's not my kind of book and I can't really keep pushing myself to finish it, I don't think it's a good idea, I'm already feeling kind of slumpy so I'll leave it here and I can tell you a little about what it's about, in case you're interested

DNF

My opinion as always is 100% honest and in this case, my decision is more than anything because I don't feel connected to the characters or the plot or the writing style and continue with it, will be only worse for me and for the book, as well, who doesn't deserve that.

I'm not going to give the book a rating since I haven't finished it

The story is told in a dual perspective, one of them told in 1978 and the other in the present. The story is about a man named Anton, this man lives on a very scary and full of secret farm, he asks his nephew Jacob to investigate what happened to Elle, a girl who was there in the summer. But Jacob also has his own ghosts and his own affairs to settle with the past, because there's a reason why he has never returned to that farm

If you like complex mystery and melancholic and atmospheric stories, you may enjoy this book
