Very sweet. Is labeled a sapphic book because there is a couple that have a romance but it is surface enough for some to view as friendship. Thor story alone was so cute and I loved reading about Idgie. But the outer story looks at aging, menopause and womanhood and that story whilst harder to get into at first was one that made the book well worth reading. It is written in a chopped up way from the perspectives of different characters and the timelines goes back and forth at the start so it’s hard to get to know the characters in Ninny’s past at first. But by the end I adored this book and really enjoyed it, truly both a cozy and heartwarming read.
