Oh what dark and twisted secrets are hidden in the walls of this family home!
After finding her grandmother Vivienne murdered, Eleanor who suffers from prosopagnosia ( face blindness) which prevents her from being able to recognize a familiar person’s face, so she’s unable to give any clues to who could have killed her grandmother she’ feels helpless by this.
Fast forward Five months later, Eleanor is surprised when she gets a phone call from Vivianne’s lawyer who informs her she’s inherited an old manor from her grandmother, and she’s also told, that the house originally belonged to her grandfather who died from suicide and the homes name Is Solhöga! Eleanor and her boyfriend Sebastian head to the Manor to meet with the Lawyer. Immediately she notices how deserted it is and how cold the home feels, and that her aunt Veronikq has also decided to show up.
With no reception and in the middle of the woods Eleanor keeps feeling like their being watched, the groundskeeper is no where to be seen, the snow begins to fall and now their trapped in the strange manor . When she uncovers a hidden diary in the floorboards she soon realizes this diary may hold the key to her grandmas secret. Someone is lurking in the shadows and it appears they may not all escape the manor! I truly enjoyed this book. You could feel the characters fear and how claustrophobic they were feeling! I loved that there were two timelines that ended meeting perfectly four stars!
