I’m glad I didn’t read other reviews until after I finished the book because there is so much unnecessary hate. I really enjoyed this, I loved reading a fantasy book that didn’t revolve around spice and actually had a plot. I like Oro a lot although I did picture him as a super old man. I also quite liked Grim even though some said he felt flat??

I’m not gonna include any spoilers but I didn’t expect this book to go the way it did, and I was actually pleasantly surprised that I didn’t predict the plot even though others did. I think it made it a much more enjoyable experience.

I’d have gone for 5 stars but it did take me a while to get into, I only really started enjoying it a third of the way in. And I wish there was more on Azul.
