Gwenpool, the Unbelievable, Vol. 1: Believe It
by Christopher Hastings
Actually pretty great! I didn't have high expectations going into it. It's sort of a spin-off of a spin-off. I don't really get the whole Gwen Stacy thing they've been doing lately. Spider-Gwen had a cool costume, and people liked it, so she got a comic, and now I guess Gwen gets to be everyone! This one is Gwen-Deadpool.
But it's not as dumb as it sounds, and it gets better as it goes. By the end of the first issue you realize it's not going to be 100% wacky hijinx, and it takes a couple of serious, interesting turns. I shouldn't be too surprised though, because the author is the man who managed to get me seriously invested in a story called "Dr. McNinja".
