Alright as usual, we all know I love my sports romances, and this one.. well let me tell you it’s amazing. It has everyone, the enemies to loves, the slightly slow burn, and of course the happy every after.

Now don’t get me wrong, my absolute favourite thing about this (not including the fact that the hockey boy falls head over heels in love) is the fact that the female is a strong independent woman who quite literally holds herself with such a posture that’s admirable.

This story follows Bailey, a journalism student at the rival school of one Chase. Now Chase is the playboy, the ruthless player, the enemy that was well.. annoying. And it doesn’t help that her ex boyfriend played on the number one rival team. Oh to have drama with a hockey boy.

Chase’s life revolves around hockey, he plays well, he loves to enforce and rile up the rival, and well all he wanted to do was make it in the NHL. His grades … well hockey royalties usually get passing grades for the sake of well they’re hockey boys. He lived for the hook up culture, and while he wanted Bailey to be just another one night stand, she was truly the girl to tame the beast.

Chase and Bailey have a banter that actually makes them friends first. And if anyone knows me, they know that the friends to lovers storyline is one that I personally want. So @God, hook a girl up with a hockey boy soon okay?

Their relationship developed slowly, Bailey needed to deal with friends who were absolute shitheads towards her, her brother never stood up for her, and well her ex boyfriend was cheating on her for the time they were dating. They had to learn to trust, they had to learn about friendship and putting the foundation of open communication when things get tough.

I can’t wait for the rest of the stories to unfold and see how the other characters come into play!
