elliott_roi 's review for:
Peach Blossom Debt
by Da Feng Gua Guo
I was a bit nervous about starting this because of mixed reviews and it being the first novel I've read from this author, but I loved it!!!
There were honestly so many twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. I literally gasped at some parts and the ending had me cryinggggg ðŸ˜ðŸ™Œ(Never thought I would be crying over a cockroach, but here we are...)
I also loved some of the deeper questions the story brought up about fate and personal choices in the face of "Heaven's plan" for your life. I am generally not a fan of stories with "fated mates" andthis book was a pleasant subversion of that with Song Yao and Hengwen choosing to make their own destiny together. It was both romantic and thought-provoking.
