The PNW 2020 fires that inspired this book I'll never forget. The smoke was so bad that we ended up having to evacuate our house after the numbers in our neighborhood were so high that they didn't register on the air quality index and after I slept for 14 hours straight due to breathing in the toxic air. This feels like a foundational text for even remotely understanding the impact of the local fires over the years and I feel like everyone should read it. Im going to get some extra copies to keep in my little free library.
