The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living by Stephen Hanselman, Ryan Holiday

3.0

If you read this book like it's intended... i.e. one page a day - taking in one bit of stoic philosophy at a time - then you might enjoy it more than I did.

I tended to read 15 - 20 days (i.e. pages) at a time and a lot of the time I came away thinking that it was quite repetitive and simplistic. Perhaps that's more of a critique of stoicism in general?

There were still plenty of 'nugs' within the book though and presented in a nicely accessible format (i.e. original stoic quotation, followed by modern-day equivalence and explanation).
