I don’t know how to rate this book. I feel like I needed to study this in a college world lit class to really get it and appreciate it. Not knowing anything about Indonesian history, what was probably really rich social commentary went right over my head.

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. A whole lotta rape and incest.
