My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh

Did not finish book.
While unlikable protagonists are powerful and often reveal the realities of the world, there's something absolutely heinous about this book's protagonist, and my sympathy ran out halfway through. It was difficult to cultivate a reason within myself to keep reading about this deeply apathetic, classist, fatphobic, white rich character who was so detached from the world, especially as I simply cannot be. While maybe the ending might have been worth it, I simply couldn't find it within my soul to give a damn about this protagonist.
