A Lick of Frost by Laurell K. Hamilton
2.0

I didn't realize that this was another of Hamilton's series books. I was out of audiobooks and going on a big car trip so I picked up what I found. This book isn't bad, but it's like Hamilton is writing for NaNoWriMo - repeating herself in different ways just to get the wordcount up. Also, the most vital importance is placed on where Merideth's lovers are in relation to her body during important court meetings. But, as my mother says, that works well because if you zone out or skip a few pages, you haen't missed much. The sex scenes were few, but they got progressively better. I think that listening to rather than reading this book was a mistake, although a lovely escapist one. Also, I like it a bit more (abrupt ending, hello!) knowing now that it is part of a series.
