If you loved this book, DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW.

I wanted to love Mistakes Were Made. First, I love wlw romance books (which I believe the world needs more of). Second, I am pro-stories featuring protagonists who are not in the 16 to 30 years old range.

I'll start this by saying what I thought worked well in the book: the spicy scenes. The spicy scenes were well-written and there was a l o t of them.

BUT I have read very niche fanfiction that had more relationship development than this book. I truly believe that my issue with Mistakes Were Made is because I didn't and still don't care about the characters. I don't care about Cassie and Erin. I most certainly don't care about Acacia and Rachel (who just existed to be advice-givers to the protagonists). I didn't find myself falling in love with Cassie and Erin's love story. Honestly, I cannot name a single reason why they actually like each other, let alone fall in love with each other.
