This is my first time re-reading this book as a full grown adult. Last time I read it was almost 15 years ago when I was in middle school. And, it still stands so freaking strong.
The horrors of this book ring a little more strong when you’re an adult and you realize how young the characters are supposed to be. And, when you realize it probably wouldn’t take too much for a government to dissolve into something of this nature.
It’s such a good book. I highly recommend re-reading to anyone who read this in their pre-teen/teen years when dystopian novels were all the rage. This one probably stands the test of time the best.
