The beginning of the book is very confusing, I don't think the world building is done extremely well (I had to look up a lot of terminology which imo if you have to do as a reader, it should be included in the back of the book as a glossary, or they need to do a better job explaining during the world building).
I do have an inherent problem with the "demons" that they're fighting really seemingly just being animals. As an animal lover, I just have a hard time seeing inherent evil in animals especially when these ones aren't really some other kind of unreal 'monster'.
I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes. I kinda ship Bree and Sel...
