Damn Jim Butcher. This book starts off like a gunshot and doesn't slow down until you've run out of words. It was an interesting change of pace from others in the series - usually it's a slower start, with a mystery, but Changes was much faster paced (leading to a greater sense of immediate danger and terror). It's not for the feint of heart, but it's pretty clearly a turning point in the series. If you're a Dresden Files fan, this one is a necessity.
