This was somewhere between a 3 and a 4 for me. Overall, a strong and very fun start, but it got a bit muddled towards the end. I felt like it was meant to be a bit convoluted but it ended up taking away some of the fun of the story instead of adding to it, at least for me. Very much looking forward to reading book 2 though!
2024 re-read: knowing more of the story now, the twists and turns of this book make so much more sense! Really enjoyable.
