Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb

Suspension of disbelief is important in any media, especially in one so fantastical and bizarre as superheros.

This one failed to do it in any meaningful way, and despite popular opinion, I think this is one of the weaker Batman comics I've ever read. It wasn't horrible, it wasn't good. It was just there.

In a genre like superheroes, you can't have comics that are just "there", it has to be excellent and worth reading. Comics are very expensive, and Batman's tend to be especially so. This one wouldn't have justified the hypothetical money I would've spent on it had I not checked it out for free from a library.

I also rented the sequel but won't bother with it because this story isn't worth the telling.
