I actually didn't expect to like this very much I've been reading a shit ton of contemporary romance and it's mostly 3 stars like cute but forgettable sweet but empty like it's fine but oh my god okay when I was like 8 one of my favorite songs was Mary's Song (Oh My My My) it's basically about two kids with a 2 year age gap falling in love like as a kid I thought that was the sweetest most romantic song as I've gotten older I don't know why maybe because it's unattainable at this point lol it lost its appeal to me but oh my God Crossroads made me feel the way that song made me feel as a kid like them falling in love through the years absolutely devastating the family shit EVEN MORE DEVASTATING I figured her dad was dead by the second voice-mail but fuck if I didn't cry when I read her mom had closed the account and the voice-mail was gone and also when they scattered his ashes like seriously I hardly ever cry when I'm reading and thank fucking god no third act breakup bullshit I honestly loved it so much I started to get the next one in the series but it's got the accidentally pregnancy trope and I can't abide that lol
